CONSTRUCTION: SOUND

We used premium beats to put as an underscore throughout our film opening. When we were searching we tried to narrow our search down by thinking of music genres that would be appropriate to our genre of film. The genre of our film in crime/ thriller so we didn't want to choose anything lively/ animated. At first were searched for sinister music and we felt that the tempo was too slow, so it was not matching. I initiated the next genre which was intense/ heightened music because I felt it would match the fast and intense content in the film opening. We then came across a piece of music called 'Independence', which when put under the film opening began to suit it.

For the voice over, of a report linking to the film topic, we used an iPhone recording app to record the person reporting. Alongside this we used the recording app to record dialogue said by the actors and we edited it into the film opening and match the mouth movement to the words.

  1. A lot of work went into your sound production. It can make or break a film. Yours is very effective at driving forward the narrative. The news report works well: it is clear and convincing.
